My first connection with Jewish music was at home. My father used to play cantorial, and Jewish music and I used to dance in my cradle. At the age of seven my father became a youth choirmaster and I used to sit on his lap and hear beautiful harmonies. At that age I was already singing very accurately.

At the age of 23 I decided to try learning Cantorial studies, and got addicted to it. I started my studies at the Haifa Cantorial School and have done extremely well.
I studied voice with a teacher from Romania her name is Pauline Shorky. After four months of studies with her I decided that my progress is very obvious and that this is what I want to do in life. Another teacher of mine there was Chazzan David Ulman who thought us Nusach.

My most influencing teacher is Haim Feifel who is very well known in the cantorial world; with him I learned style and Improvising, and singing prayers and inner beets. After about two years Haim Feifel told me that I must go learn with Naftaly Hershtik at the TACI (Tel Aviv Cantorial institute), because I have out passed the rest of the students.

I am a graduate of TACI there I learned with Cantor Naftaly Hershtik, I had private lessons with Raymond Goldstein in Tell Aviv and at his home. During all my studies I learned voice for four hours a week. I may say that I am very much appreciated by Naftaly Hershtik, there for he recommended me for a job in Montreal.

In 2002 I became the cantor at congregation Beth Tikvah in Montreal, I was very successful and loved by the community. I was a full time cantor there for three years and have done very well. I had a volunteering choir that was taught under the instruction of Stephan Glass. In Montreal I learned voice with a great young teacher she improved my singing immensely, she has a special Bell canto method from Vienna.

In 2004 I went to learn in yeshiva “Machon Meir” in Jerusalem, and at that times I also sang in Azi Shwartz’s choir “Or Chadash” we performed all over Israel and the world.

I read notes and music; I take my job very seriously and learn fast. My musical and cantorial style of singing, is a traditional but young and dynamic one. I taught voice lessons at TACI, there I passed over to the students, almost ten years of voice studies and experience.
