Cantor Marvin Sonenreich began his cantorial
studies in Denver, Colorado, and continues to study under
the tutelage of Rabbi Myron Movsky. Marvin's vocal talent
soon came to the attention of the late Louise Sherman who
was a world-renowned vocal coach with the Metropolitan Opera
in New York City. She was also the co-founder of Opera Colorado.
Marvin continues to study and coach with Bill Lewis in New
York City.
Marvin embarked upon a professional career in the mid 1990's.
He is well versed in the cantorial arts in addition to being
a classically trained operatic tenor. His repertoire includes
Broadway show tunes and classical music. He sings not only
in Hebrew and English, but also Yiddish, Spanish, Italian,
French, German and Latin.
Marvin has led services at the internationally acclaimed National
Jewish Hospital in Denver, Colorado, as well as at Beth Joseph
Synagogue and BMH Synagogue. He has alos served as the Cantor
at Beth Jacob Synagogue in Texas.
Marvin has starred as Tevye in the Broadway favorite Fiddler
on the Roof and has held numerous concerts and services
throughout the United States and abroad. He continues to delight
audiences wherever he performs and is looking forward to upcoming
concerts in Denver, New York City and other major cities across
the US.
